Liana Owad is an artist from York, Pennsylvania. Owad earned her BFA in 2010 from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and her MFA in 2014 from The University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After graduating, Owad remained in Lincoln, Nebraska as an Artist-in-Residence at the LUX Center for the Arts and also accepted a position with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to set up a maker space for their new research campus. In 2015 she was promoted to Director and in her role with UNL she established and developed their maker space, Nebraska Innovation Studio. In 2016, Owad accepted a one year position with the Chesapeake Arts Center as their MakerSpace Coordinator. She is currently living and working in Okinawa, Japan.
